Who we are

Ayrshire Vehicle Recovery. We help drivers arrange vehicle recovery by matching a job with a suitable local recovery operator. We do not carry out the recovery ourselves.

What we collect

When you ask us to arrange recovery, we collect: your name, phone number, and email if you give one; where the vehicle is and where it needs to go; what the vehicle is and what's wrong with it; and any photographs you choose to send. If you use the "share location" button we also collect the coordinates your phone reports.

What we do with it

We use it to arrange your recovery, and for nothing else.

We pass your details to a recovery operator so they can contact you, quote for the job and carry out the recovery. That is the whole point of the service, and it is why we ask you to confirm you're happy with it before you submit the form. We record which operator received your details and when.

We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a marketing list. If we ever wanted to contact you about anything other than the recovery you asked for, we would have to ask you separately.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records so we can deal with any question or dispute about a recovery that was arranged. If you want your record deleted, call or email us and we will do it.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 07534136109 and we will sort it out.

Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie to remember your answers as you move through the request form, and to record which page you arrived on so we know which parts of the site are working. That one is essential, the form can't work without it.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages they land on, where they came from, and whether they tapped the phone number. This sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit to Google, including your IP address (which Google truncates) and the pages you viewed. We use it to work out which parts of the site are doing their job, not to identify you.

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not build a profile of you.

If you'd rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's private mode, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works perfectly well either way.
